She keeps almost everyone at an arms lengths, telling herself over and over again that she didn’t need any of them . She’s too afraid to commit to any of her dreams, instead thinking she doesn't deserve any of it. Happiness, Sadness. Nothing, most of the time, she's wasting her life away with drugs and alcohol.She doesn’t want to love others, in fear of being rejected . But at the same time, she craves to be loved by someone .On this note, she trusts nobody. Due to being lied to her entire life. She can't tell if someone is lying to her or not, so to save herself from being hurt or being left behind, she's the one that leaves people first.

Jaquelines SHINE

Jaqueline’s shine is unique .Her shine is extremely powerful but not as powerful as her older brother’s , Dan.She has the ability to see the magnifestation of guilt that other people carry. She usually sees it as a crude , black goopy interpretation of what follows them around .For example , for Dan. She sees a hoard of crude flies that fly around him in circles , usually around his head .She has the ability to enter people’s minds and go to the ‘inbetween’ where she can communicate with the dead . But this causes a lot of pain and has a massive side effect, every time she does this . She looses a significant amount of blood .Alongside this, she has the ability of transportation through reflective surfaces (mostly mirrors) . But only if theres another mirror she can exit out of.But this also has a side effect, usually. It leaves her extremely weak and giddy .She has the ability to feel the presence of the paranormal .And finally , like her brother Danny , she has the ability to communicate to others through telekinesis. but that’s all they have in common.

Jack Torrance:Jaqueline’s Biological Father.Admittedly, Jaqueline and her biological father have an extremely strained relationship. She genuinely doesn’t know much about him personally , only surface level things and things she’s heard She’s always been curious ever since she learnt the truth.He was one of the main reasons why she went back to the hotel itself, alongside her heavy grief.

Lilith Rose

Jaqueline’s Biological Mother .Jaqueline has little to no contact with her real mother , nor does she want to have any. For all she knows , she was abandoned as a baby and left out at a strangers doorstep.She doesn’t know much about her mother . But, there is a lot of spite towards her . She blames her for a lot of her problems .She only knows that she was born from a drunken one night stand and abandoned. She didn’t even tell her dad about her .

Mary RoseJaqueline’s Foster Mother .Jaqueline had a very strange relationship with her foster mother , even though she doesn’t remember half of it .Mary had the shine as well. One of her abilities was being able to erase memories .
She doesn’t remember any of the bad memories with her foster mother , only the memories where she tried to get better and sober up..Her death really haunts her . And it was a reminder of her own actions .

DAN TORRANCE

Jaqueline’s older half brother .her relationship with her older half brother is the only positive one se has, since he was there when she was at her darkest moment and stayed by her side. Even getting her out of trouble whenever she found herself in bad situations, even if they were by her own doing.She does tend to get annoyed whenever he checks in to see how long she's been sober. But, He's the only one she knows (Asides from Bradley) that has the shine.So. . . she has no choice but to trust him.Besides, he's her brother. And she loves him.

Wendy Torrance .An important mother figure .Wendy, from a young age when Jaqueline used to go over to the Torrance’s . Has been a better mother figure then.. her foster mother and her real mother .Even if she doesn’t remember much.But she stopped visiting once she found out .. the truth, being burdened by guilt .

Bradley Trevor / Baseball Boy

Jaqueline’s own student that she’s trying to teach how to manage his shine.But at the same time , she took him under her wing like he was her son. Not wanting to scar him , she got sober so she could take care of him. She ended up adopting him in the end.When he was killed , she felt every second of it , all of the pain.Loosing him made her spiral down , going to the hotel to get away from it all. Going into an relapse .

Edith Finch

Jaqueline’s ex-girlfriend .Edith is the epitome of the consequences of Jaqueline’s actions . Specifically when it comes to pushing people away for her own protection.She has a very strained relationship with her now
that’s fueled by self deprecation and self hate .Despite never saying it outloud, she knows she broke her heart when she left.
